A guide to the books in the NCC Library's collection that have LGBTQ+ characters, subjects, and/or authors.

This guide is designed to help you identify the books in the NCC Library's collection as of January 2023 that have LGBTQ+ authors, subjects, or characters. Our collection is a bit limited in terms of size and age--some books may no longer be the most up-to-date sources on their particular topic. Books listed in this guide are organized by fiction and non-fiction.

We take book requests! The NCC Library can order new books (published within the last ~2 years). Please let a library staff member know if you'd like to request a particular book.

If you're looking for a book our collection doesn't have, we can likely borrow it from another library! Please contact Troy Nikander, Academic Resource Team Leader, at or in-person at the library to submit an interlibrary loan book request.
